The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This SRD is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The provider issue established for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and maximize usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
